Do I really need a virtual assistant?

Short answer: yes, you probably do!

Here's a good exercise to determine if you could use a virtual assistant:

1. Think about all the things you do for your business - every single thing, no lumping tasks together. Every day, every week, every month, quarterly, yearly.

2. Better yet, conduct a little experiment and for 1 week (okay, you're busy, more like 1 - 3 days) commit to writing down every single thing you do for your business and how long each task takes.* Then circle each task that a professional (like myself) could help you with or tasks you hate and would love to pass off to someone else.  Now, add up the time associated with these tasks. How much time could you save?

3. Now, make a list of all the things you could do with that extra time. Would you reinvest the time in your business? Would you find new customers? Would you spend more time creating? Catch up on sleep?  Take care of yourself? Or maybe you would finally have the time to spend with loved ones or on long forgotten hobbies that bring you joy!

*If were you too busy to even keep track and create the list of tasks - you could definitely use a VA.

Just imagine all the possibilities for the time you could get back for yourself with the help of a VA! One of biggest benefits of being a business owner or entrepreneur is the freedom and autonomy that allows you the ability to build the life you want–let me help you get there!

What is your call/email response time?

I return all client calls and emails within one business day, with every effort made to return them same day.

I don't see what I need listed.  Can you still help?

Absolutely!  You can reach me via "Get In Touch" form at the bottom of any page with the details of what you're looking for and I'll get right back to you or you can schedule a free 30-minute call with me to talk through the details of your project in real time.

As a seasoned project and program manager, I'm confident I can address your needs and deliver on your project.

If I'm not able to help you, I can make recommendations or a referral to another professional that specializes in your request.

What do I do for the discovery call?

The purpose of the discovery call is for us to get to know each other and decide if we’d like to work together.

The structure of the call usually goes like this:

  • We’ll talk about how you’re hoping a VA will benefit you and your business and what responsibilities you’d like to move off your plate.

  • We'll decide if my skills are a good fit for what you need.

  • I’ll answer any questions you have about my systems and processes.

  • We'll close the call and afterwards, I'll send over a proposal recapping what we've discussed.

  • You'll decide if you'd like to move forward with me based on the proposal.

Easy peasy!

If you'd like to arrive at the call extra prepared: complete the exercise outlined above and bring it with you to our call.  It can help keep our discussion organized maximizing our time while making sure we cover all the ways I can help.

What time zone are you in/what are your hours of business?

My home base is on the West Coast, Pacific time zone.  My work week is generally Monday through Friday with my working hours of availability 10am - 6pm PST.

Being a virtual assistant allows for some flexibility in my schedule so on our discovery call, we can discuss any availability needs that fall outside of my standard working hours if needed.

Do my hours roll over?

Hours do not roll over from month to month. If you are close to running over, I will contact you and we can discuss how to proceed. If you find you need a package with fewer hours, we can always adjust for the next month any time before the start of the billing period. Service cancellation requires 14 day notice.
